{sponsor feature: Marmie Bags}

This giveaway is now closed.

Today’s sponsored giveaway is from Krista of Marmie Bags ~ a shop filled with custom vintage flair handbags, adorned with vintage neck ties, scarves, buttons, ribbons, stencils and more. I sent over a few questions for Krista to answer and I’ve highlighted some key elements from the interview. I love her “go get ’em attitude” ~ it’s amazing! Enjoy the feature + giveaway at the end! XO

I am a Southern Peach living in the beautiful Colorado mountains. I am a mother of three beautiful little girls who love helping me create things. I like to consider myself a Domestic Goddess – lover of all home things which includes fashion, designing & decorating, gardening, cooking, thrift shopping, etc… I own Ginger Magnolia Catering which has been such a fun and rewarding career, but then I started to dream about purses! So, I listened to my subconscious and just started sewing one day. I am loving the different creative outlets of my catering company and with my newest business, Marmie Bags. I named the business after my wonderful mother who my children call “Marmie”. I love to mix old & new materials together with my purses to have that one of kind feature mixed with a simple yet elegant design. I love vintage things and almost all my purses have at least one up-cycled ingredient.

It is a challenge running two successful businesses, being a mother of three, wife, friend, daughter and so on. I would consider that my biggest accomplishment – the ability to multi-task and prioritize is definitely a great skill to master! When I do have spare time, I have enjoyed being the Leader of Crafts and Speakers on the MOPS Steering Committee (mothers of preschoolers) for the last 4 years. It is such an amazing national organization that has supported me through those sleepless baby & toddler years. I am also on the Board of Montrose’s Downtown Main in Motion festival and in charge of activities & vendors. This is a great 13 week summer festival that features artists, musicians, food and family fun. One of the best jobs that I do is prepare hot lunches at my children’s school once a week. All the kids are a joy to be around, and it is so special to me when I hear my daughters proudly say “My mom is the Lunch Lady”. I love being a part of such a great community. Giving back and being involved is such an important part of what keeps me inspired and motivated.

I encourage everyone to follow their instincts and their dreams. All things are possible, and there is always a way. If you have a dream of creating a business of your own, I recommend getting clear with your vision and remembering simple is always more. I also highly believe in the power of brainstorming with people. Invite over a great group of people who inspire you, who run their own successful business and who are level-headed thinkers and discuss your ideas with them. Every great business owner also knows when to ask for help so never feel like you have to do it all like they say it takes a village.

    Thanks for the encouraging words! Everyone should hear these daily!! Too often ‘the flow’ grabs us and carries us to destinations unknown…we wake up one morning to find we are no longer within reach of our dreams, frustrated, unhappy, stressed out….I too encourage all to follow your dreams and heart’s desire! Those dreams are there for a purpose!!! :) Thanks for the giveaway.

  14. it seems doubtful, both tllors and fanboys alike (even normal people) seems to have a certain disliking for it, that said though, there are also others that try to defend this game (that inculdes me as well )so in all hope, let’s just pray that Square can redeem themselves with XIII-2 and Versus XIII. .*sigh*
