The prompt ~

As a recap from the first newsletter, this week’s Inspiration Workshop! prompt is HANDMADE. Appropriate for the Gussy Sews community, right? I love pretty things and I love being inspired by what people can do creatively, whether it’s something I’ve made or that someone else has made.

* Make sure you sign up BY tonight (Thursday) if you want to receive the next inspiration prompt. The linky party will always be on Thursday, and that week’s prompt will be automatically sent via email the Friday before. The prompt for week #2 will be emailed Friday, June 3rd and the linky party for week #2 will be Thursday, June 9th.

My interpretation ~

I saw this wrap bracelet while browsing Pinterest and it totally reminded me of the friendship bracelets my friends and I used to make back in elementary/middle/high school :] You know the ones made from embroidery floss? Filling my plastic organizer box with thread was seriously a highlight of those summers. Hah! I remember taping the floss to the table, then braiding or wrapping the different colors into a bracelet that would soon enough become “bleached” by the hot summer sun or a chlorinated pool. Such a good memory! *wink*

Now it’s your turn!

I hope you’ll join the linky party below. Scroll past the thumbnails of other participating bloggers and click the “You are next CLICK HERE TO ENTER” button and follow the prompts. Be sure to put your blog name in the CAPTION/TITLE field and to use a permalink directly to your Gussy Sews Inspiration Workshop! post. 5. I have a whole box of floss, wrapped on holders and organized by color *rolling eyes*) from when I was a kid; my friends and I would make tons and tons of bracelets!! I remember one summer we even set up a Friendship Bracelet Stand and sold them for .25 cents apiece! (Even then I was an entrepreneur, haha!) Your post must have stayed in the back of my mind today b/c while out and about I came across one of those How-To books for Friendship Bracelets and picked one up for my 8yr old daughter. I am going to pass my stash-o-floss to her so she can create tons and tons of bracelets this summer! :-)
