I’m totally smitten over the fabric combinations and pure sweetness of I Sew Lucky’s products. April, the designer, has beautiful sewing skills. The details she adds to her products carry magic :]

I am a busy mother of 5 children and a wife to an amazing man! I started I Sew Lucky as a hobby about 2 years ago. My shop started out with scrapbooks and other paper-made items (my first love) but I soon realized that the owls were the way to go. The first 6 months were slow and I actually almost closed my shop. I only had about 50 or so sales. At about the end of May of 2009 it started to take off and I just stuck with it and found what worked and what didn’t. Now it’s 1.5 years later and I’m over 1,400 sales and I’m loving what I do :]

My shop holds owls made with many fun fabrics and different sizes. Owls that are used for bookends, doorstops, paperweights, plush toys (big to small), ornaments, party favors and owl garlands! You will also find a few little sweet rag dolls hanging around.

{And they are so sweet!}

When I look through I Sew Lucky’s shop I see so many opportunities for make-believe…

The bookends have multiple uses {I loved to read as a kid (and still do!)} — paper weight, door stop or simply let them sit pretty on your shelf. When I was younger, dolls were my favorite! I Sew Lucky’s rag dolls would be loved by any sweet girl who loves to play mama :]

  19. I love everything in the shop but the owl bookends would have to be my favorite! My toddler has tons of books and these bookends would be great for his room. Also, I am decorating my tree with handmade ornaments this year and all of the owl ornaments are darling.

  26. I love all the owls… I can’t pick just one! We’re getting ready to turn my daughter’s nursery into a “big girl” room using an owl theme (with some super cute bedding from Target) so I might have to do some shopping with I Sew Lucky! (What a great name)

  48. I love the owls…but my favorite is Roxi the Dollie in Amy Butler fabric. My daughter would love her. :) I am in love with handmade toys and dolls. I knit lots of animals for my daughter and she loves them…I am just getting into sewing now too. This shop is an inspiration…there is no better gift than handmade…so special. Keep the great stuff coming!!!

  49. Oh. oh. oh. I am a self-proclaimed owl FREAK. I even have a little guy tattooed on my shoulder to bring me luck. I’ve also gotten my nieces into owls, and I’m sure one of them would love to have an owl ornament this year.

    My fav on the website though? Oversized plush owl. Yep. Love him :D

  68. I LOVE these owls! I am 22 weeks pregnant and the Lord spoke to us about having children through an owl outside our window. Ever since we’ve been pregnant we refer to this little one as “Little Hoot.” I would LOVE to win this ornament as a reminder of this Christmas that we were expecting and so grateful for God’s faithfulness!
