From the day we moved into our new home I’ve been wanting to put something on our front porch. And that was about five months ago! It’s a generously sized covered space, and we get an equal mix of pure sun and shade. I think it’s time to do something about this want, it’s time to make it happen! I’m not sure if I’ll end up with a wooden bench and table, or a couple of fun plants, or something wooden like this tiered ladder plant stand, which is really my starting inspiration for all of this.
I absolutely love plants, so I think something leafy will happen for sure :) I mean, for our 8th wedding anniversary last month we went to a local nursery to pick out a few plants for the inside of our home. There is a really fun antique shop near us, and I think I’ll stop by this weekend…

The best thing I added to our porch was a $20 rug from Ikea. All the outdoor rugs I liked were SO expensive, but a $20 Ikea rug saved the day. It’s not an outdoor rug, but our porch is covered. It’s so nice to have something soft underfoot.
