{a small preview of my day // a few tips on how I stay organized + on-task}

Yesterday I had the privileged of guest posting over at Paper*Cakes Finds. I really like to guest post — it’s a great way to challenge myself and a great way to meet new blog friends. Below is a preview of my post — to read the rest, click here

Hi there, this is Gussy of Gussy Sews. During the day I sew ruffles, blog, play with our puppy {shhhh}, and network with my handmade pals. At night I love to watch TV, sip on a Diet Coke, and relax with my hubby :) Life has gotten super crazy in the last year, so anything that lets me quiet my mind before bedtime is wonderful.

I love my job so incredibly much, and because of that it’s really easy for me to just work, work, work. A normal work day is about 11 hours long, but lately it’s been longer! Eeeek. Since I work from home as an indie biz owner, I want to share a bit about my day // a few tips on how I stay organized + on-task.

  1. you sure do have it figured out, especially considering you are such a youngun! we share lots of the same strategies (except i don’t have a business, but four wee chicks might feel the same. HA!) hope you have a beautiful week, m! xxo

  2. Thanks for the great tips! I just started 2 etsy shops (handmade & vintage) and am attempting to run to blogs, facebook pages, twitter, etc. Oh, and I’m a mommy too. I work twice as many hours as when I was teaching but I am so much happier and less stressed! I am still figuring out the time managment thing. I need a notebook like you :)

  3. Hi Gussy!

    I received my market bag today and I absolutely *love* it! It is soo comfortable on my shoulder and fits all my school notebooks and folders! Can’t wait to use it for school tomorrow and receive many compliments! Thanks you so much!

  4. Yes! It can be such a challenge when you’re your own boss, you work at home and you love it. I constantly struggle with my schedule, staying focused and not getting carried away with work.
