  1. Something positive about my week so far: my husband came home from a work trip after nearly 2 weeks away so my 1 year old and I have him back!!! :)

  2. I love one of Casey’s paintings! This week we brought my dog to the vet thinking we’d have to put her down(she has heart failure) but we didn’t have to. We got some more meds to help her feel more comfortable and we get to love and cherish her for a little while longer. รขโ„ขยฅรขโ„ขยฅ

  3. We found out that the blood work we have been waiting on for one of the sweet kiddos we are adopting from Uganda came in. One step closer!

  4. OMG…I’d love to win this! I love Casey :)

This week, my oldest turned 4…and she’s such a blessing to me!

  5. The highlight of my week was definitely a “you had to be there moment”, but I’ll share anyway. My mother-in-law is currently hospitalized with cancer. Everyone’s spirits have been low, however, when we went to visit her my husband sat down in one of the hospital chairs that seemed to have a built in whoopie cushion. This tickled my mother-in-law and she couldn’t stop laughing. It was a wonderful sound.

  6. Wonderful this week??? Oldest son went off to college this week in TX and God answered some travel related prayers/last minute details perfectly. Youngest son’s knee surgery is healing better and faster than expected, I still work everyday, my nephew, who lives with me, is rocking soccer preseason and my 70 yr mom, who also lives with me, is finally getting out of the house more after 4 serious joint replacement surgeries — just doesn’t get any better than that :) thanks for the opportunity

  7. I had my third sale in my shop this week as well as some amazing advice from someone that I truly respect. My husband and I made a step towards something that is so exciting I could pee my pants, and life is good!

  8. LOVE THIS!! What a gorgeous family!
My positive thing this week was dedicating time with my 3 and 4 year old boys to purge gently used but no-longer-played-with toys and taking our bags up to the local Community Sharing building for donation. I love that even as young as they are, my boys understand that you don’t need so many things and it’s better to share and provide to others.

  9. I’m pregnant and in the midst of some serious morning (all day) sickness. My positive thought is that this won’t last forever! :)

  10. Yay! I love the picture of the cross, it’s beautiful. Something positive about my whole week is my little sister is visiting me from out of state and it’s been such a joy catching up and having lots and lots of sister dates! :)

  11. Something positive….My hubby and I are in the process of taking a huge leap of faith and each day is an adventure with God getting to see what he will do next!

  12. this weekend we are having a house warming party for all of our friends and family. I can’t wait to show off our new place to every and some fabulous Casey Wiegand artwork would be the perfect housewarming gift.

    Following you both via tweet.

  13. My one year old is helping me make the bed and ‘clean’ around the house – it’s so cute! And helpful since Daddy (a teacher) just went back to work.

  14. Best of the week? Feeling my wee babe flutter inside of me. At 19 weeks it still surprises me every time but it makes me stop whatever I’m doing every time :)

  15. OMG! An original piece of Casey’s artwork!?!?! I wouldn’t know what to do with myself! WOW! Something positive that has happened in my week so far is that I can see God’s plan for my future and I’m not afraid of what he has in store for me because I know he will be with me every step of the way.

  16. I have been feeling really yucky all week with strep throat but I’ve tried to stay happy and positive. My fiance just re enrolled back in school. I was so proud of him so to show him I made him a silly back to school pack filled with pencils, scissors, crayons, and glue. He thought it was funny and that always makes me happy.

  17. Something positive about my week so far: Ok, this one is corny, but at work, we’ve had three or four shredders break. So since they have broken, I have had to stack my shredding which resulted in a two row shelf being FILLED with papers.

Fast forward to today: I have just learned today that we were given a shredding service, so all of my shredding now gets (GASP) PICKED UP! (WOO HOO!)

Needless to say, I’m thrilled hours of shredding are now gone. THANK GOODNESS! =)

Not a large life changing event to many, but still, something positive!

  18. Something positive about this week is that I graduated from my missions school and I’m already seeing the amazing provision of the Lord, my heart is full of thankfulness :))

  19. Best part of this week is its the last week of summer for my kiddos. Everyone is excited about school and the new beginnings it will bring. But even better its a reason to really make the most of every day this week. Making memories to last forever!

  20. Happy moment of the day…snuggling with Auggers (my 5 month old) on the “big bed” after his morning bottle. *sigh* I could do that all day! :)

  21. What a great giveaway. My daughter would love a piece of Casey’s work in her room.
We’ve had such a great week, it’s back to school time and one of my very favorite things is paper/school/office supplies {I know weird..but I’m a paper junkie}….so while my boys were happy with just grabbing some spiral notebooks, my daughter and I had a super time wading through all the new school supplies for just the right note books, folders, etc.

    Have a great week.

  22. Trusting and believing God for all things. Another positive- a cool crisp Tennessee morning, the promise of Fall in the midst of all this heat!

    LOVE GUSSY & CASEY!

  23. I believe that I am really truly learning how to pray. I have seen things more clearly this week. God is walking with me and my family and wrapped his arms around us!

  24. My daughter did great at swim lessons today and after two days worth of crying a ton, she didn’t today and earned her lollipop! :)

  25. I love her site, and her openness and honesty. And, I love the favorite post. I feel like I can relate with her in so many ways regarding motherhood!

  26. i can honestly say, that the best/most positive thing so far this week, is that i haven’t given up on trying to be better in ALL aspects of my life. God will provide me with the tools.

  27. i follow gussy on twitter too! i am so sorry if i thought i was already following you! @beforeverlovely (i mean if i commented before that i did, because apparently, i was silly and hadn’t clicked “follow’ yet…whoops!) :)

  28. The most positive thing that has happened is that my husband got hired as a personal trainer this week! This is his passion and I am so excited to see what God will do in his life with this new adventure! Thanks for the chance to win!

  29. Something positive about my day: I went for a run with my little girl in her jogging stroller this morning. The air was slightly crisp and the sky was clear blue. It was a wonderful start to our day:)

  30. Both my twin daughters learned how to say “mommy” this week…might just be the highlight of my year so far! Makes.Me.Melt.

  32. Positive about my week, I got to have a nice girls dinner with some of the gal pals last night at outback, yummmm!!

  33. The best thing that happened to me this week was (to make a long story short)..my brother and sister-in-law are separated and we hadn’t heard from my SIL in several months and it was breaking all our hearts. (they have 2 little babies together). We have been praying and believing that there might be some hope. This week she called me and told me she really wants to work it out and is so sad because she loves us all so much. This is more hope we have had in along time.

  34. She is an amazing artist!!! something positive today – God loves me!!!! :D Thank you so much for the chance to win!

  35. Today ~ positive ~ Every moment is a gift from God. I have had the privilege of cleaning, folding, washing dishes for my darling family. Now, I am about to make pickles with the bounty from the garden. Great day! Blessings

  36. Something positive about my week was yesterday. It was birthday but my hubby was at the hospital all day and night for 24 hour call shift (he’s a medical student). I was really bummed about that, but made the best of my birthday and had a fun day driving to Cincinnati with a few girlfriends. When I got home that evening my sister was making me dinner and then my hubby called to say they were letting him take a LONG dinner break to come home and be with me for a bit. YAY! It was such a great, happy surprise. Then my sister also cleaned up dinner AND made me a cake. It was the best birthday and I was so happy. i thought it wasn’t going to be very special or anything thing since I thought I woundn’t see my hubby. But I did and everything else was great too! :)

  37. I spent time with my girlfriends from high school last night! We have known each other for fifteen years and are all mamas now. Even though our personal lives have changed our bond to each other stays strong. Love the support and love of the strong, inspirational women in my life!

  38. great giveaway!! something positive about my week: last night, my hubs & i went on a date 2 hrs away & saw Sara Bareilles in concert!! it was an amazing concert! and today, i am taking maternity pictures! ;-)

  39. I love this painting! It’s so full of texture. I follow you and casey on twitter. Oh and I also follow casey’s blog)
Everything about my week so far has been nothing but positive! I’m off to a good start, I get to spend most of my time with my wonderful husband and our kids (two dogs). I have been pretty motivated and productive crocheting some little projects I’ve been meaning to do.

  40. I’m so very happy to have my boss back from her vacation…..after a messy couple of weeks without her, the office feels much calmer today.

  41. My sweet baby boy is 15 months today and I can’t think of anything I’d rather do than spend my day off with him getting messy and having fun!

  42. i wish there was a “love” option on FB because i would totally choose that over “like”, but i ‘like’ casey on FB. :)

  43. My daughter and I just had food intolerance test done – doesn’t sound positive, but it is going to lead to a happier/healthier life. That’s good :)

  44. My most positive and Fun thing I did this week, was to go to Mall of America with my Foster Mom & Sister and her her 2 young daughters! I lived with them when Carrie was 5-8 yrs. old, so it was a blast to get to spend time with them again. My cancer keeps me very close to home, so this was the first time I’ve been able to get away, even if it was just for a weekend. I love reconnecting with friends from my past!

  45. This is my last week of my last summer ever…and while I am sad about that (have to be a grown up soon!) it has been a wonderful week of relaxing and spending time with my husband :)

  46. And, something positive about my day or week. Well, well, first of all, I teach, so I’m in my LAST week of summer break. What’s not great about a few more days being a freebird? Ya heard? :) But last night, my husband and I went to see “The Help”. I love that he goes with me to movies even though he thinks he won’t like them that much. Then later, I can tell he really loves them too. He’s sweet.

  47. I love Casey’s advice for following what God made you for. Seems so simple, but is so difficult for some. The most positive thing I have done this week (other than packing for vacation) was to embrace extra hours nannying because I was having one of those weeks where writing was insanely difficult.

  48. Love her artwork!! Follow her blog- my week is great- hard for me to believe that in 1 week my oldest starts kindergarten full day!! where has the time gone?

  49. I love her work! This week’s most positive thing for me was getting my kitchen completely unpacked and being able to cook again (after our recent cross country move)!

  50. What a great giveaway! Love Casey and her art is beautiful! Positive thing of my day…My hours are getting cut at work, which means more time with my babies! Less money when we already struggle, but my kiddos are only little for a short time so it is a positive thing for me!

  51. I am doing my best to see the glass as half full today so this is a great way for me to focus on the good in my day. I took my daughter to the pediatrician this morning because she had been showing some potential signs of heart failure and I was very fearful. However, my sweet 4 yr old girl who has had 3 open heart surgeries had strep throat and was showing her other symptoms because her body was trying to fight off the infection. All is good, she’s had her antibiotic, chocolate shake, and now a nap. I am so thankful that it is just strep throat. God is good!

  52. LOVE casey! I’ve had a great week and won three small giveaways when I’ve never won anything! Maybe this will be the fourth–i hope so!

  53. The most positve thing thus far this week would have to be watching my son walk with his wooden walker. It is not your traditional toy walker that makes sounds and lights up, it is made of wood and has a place for my son’s toys. He puts his toys in it and walks around the house. (He isn’t walking all by himself yet) After each time he walks, he has to sit down and clap for himself. I am cherishing each of these moments….since I know walking by himself then running! is not far from now.

  54. One thing that is positive about my week so far is that my two boys are taking swimming lessons for the first time, and they are having a blast. I’ve been able to encourage them from the side of the pool to turn their “I can’t”s into “I’ll do my best!” and I’m so happy to see them trying new things, even when they are a little scared at first.

  55. I joined a new church and am going to start volunteering teaching Sunday School to the little kiddos! I am really excited.

  56. A positive thing about my week would be being able to clean and rearrange my room before school starts back. A clean and rearranged room always makes me feel rejuvenated!

  57. I got to visit with 2 old friends already this week, one I’ve known since 6th grade and another from college who is a missionary in the DR with her family.

  58. One tremendously positive thing about my week so far was friends helping me take photos for my Etsy shop. They turned out great and we had SOOOOOOOOO much fun doing it. It’ll be the best way to get photos taken for the shop in my opinion :).

  59. Something positive about my week thus far?? I get to go on a fancy date with my husband!! Thank you Lord for the extra money this month to allow for a nice date before baby comes!

  60. I have been so encouraged this week by many of the blogs I’ve been reading about trusting God and going to Him for everything…even the small stuff. It’s been such a wonderful reminder of the amazing God we serve!

  61. Something good is that my amazing man just got rewarded for his talents with an amazing job.

Love you Cas-hopefully I will own a piece by you someday. Xo.

  62. A one former ‘mitten gal’ to another….Sleeping Bear Dunes on beautiful Lake Michigan just garnered the prize as America’s Most Beautiful Place! Isn’t that tooo cool? That made my day…and made me want to go back home….

  63. This is going to be an amazing week because my sweet husband got free tickets for our family to go to a baseball game!

  64. LOVE HER ART! Hope I win!!

This week: I have been able train OUSTIDE a few days for the half marathon I am training for! AND my baby has her last day of Inffant class at school and move up to her new toddler class on Monday… Good because she has learned so much! But man it goes TOO FAST!

  65. Ironically the most positive thing to happen this week was to hear some unpleasant truths about myself from my babes. It was certainly conviction from the Holy Spirit to make some changes if I want our relationship to grow in a healthy way. The last few days have been amazing and it’s only Wednesday!

  66. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Casey’s work!!! I have had such a wonderful week so far! My favorite part was spending time with dear friends putting our Home Organization Binders together. We gathered all our office supplies together on the table and went to work making dividers for each important task in our busy momma lives! I love my friends!

  67. After a hectic couple of weeks where my husband was sick and unable to assist with daily life, I have realized that certain tasks and projects (which at first felt like adding MORE on my plate beyond my household chores and work schedule) actually recharge my spirit when my energy is low. I have made a pact with myself to always make time to do those things (one of them is sewing).

  68. i did not mention the positive part of my week.
today was the turtle races….yes i said TURTLE races. it was so fun to take the kids, relax and see how EXCITING and how much joy and excitement this brings to their eyes. the small things are what counts!!! doing things together! xoxoxoxox

  69. This week has been very exciting for me! I started getting sponsor spots on some blogs to advertise my etsy shop I started back in June, and I’ve got a ‘grand opening’ of sorts with lots of shop changes planned for when my ads post…yay!

  70. I follow Casey on Facebook! This is a great giveaway! I’m a big fan of her art and I have a lot of naked walls haha
Thanks to both you fabulous ladies!

  72. I love Casey’s blog! She is such a inspiration! This week has been nutty & exciting at the same time. My husband got a job offer in Dallas, Tx!! We are so nervous & excited but we know God has an amazing plan for taking us there!! We can’t wait!! Have a lovely week yourself!!

  73. Highlight – my momma came over and helped me blanch, bag, and freeze all my corn from my garden! 18 cups worth so far. And my hubby got a part time job. Better than nothing! God is good to us!

  74. This week has been full of so many great things! I’ve been blessed with new opportunities to help me grow in Christ and loving all of the warmth from my friends.

  75. Would love to win this painting!!! Major positive from the week was that I was able to visit BEAUTIFUL Newport Beach in California this week and spend time with a very special friend (who I happen to be named after).

  76. My week has been much better than expected! I am a teacher and it is our first full week of school. Out of 125 new students, I am yet to have one truly negative experience with one of these high schoolers, and to top it off, my almost 2 year-old started with a new babysitter and LOVES it! I was so afraid he wouldn’t transition well (especially after being home with him all summer) but she raves in the afternoons about how good he has been. I am one blessed momma this week! :)

  77. I’ve moved to a brand new school with new expectations this year. Today was the first day with my 24 2nd graders and we survived! We did much more than survive, we were successful and had a GREAT day!!

  78. I found my faith again thank you for this blog recvomendation I often get consumed with perfection and stressing about it and I forget that fear isn’t real! God always provides it may not be what I want but it is what I need! I needed casey’s reminder! Thank you I am ok:)

  79. I’ve been SUPER busy this week, but today, I was able to tackle almost all of my To Do list! It felt awesome! :-)

  80. I’ve had so much fun getting my classroom ready this week – and some of my old and new kiddos have come by to help. I get warm fuzzies when they talk about how excited they are to come back to school. I’m glad its a safe, warm, loving place they can’t wait to be everyday! xx

  85. The best thing about my week has been caring for a beautliful 9 month old foster baby…absolutely the most amazingly sweet little girl I have been blessed to love on! Love the give-a-way too! hope to be carrying around a Gussy Sews Bag sooooooooooooooon :)
    MommaMary2Many

  86. BY FAR the best thing that happened to me today was my 15 month old son gave me eskimo & butterfly kisses before I laid him down. I had to fight back the happy tears. Being a mommy is so rewarding. Thank you both for the giveaway!

  87. I have to say that today my BIRRRRTHDAY was super positive! I took a moment this morning to read His Word and the peace that washed over me was instant. I felt like this year 28 was going to be so great, I was going to STOP wishing I was like everyone else, I’m going to STOP wishing I was prettier, smarter, craftier and I’m going to START shining my light for Him brighter than ever, I’m going to START loving who He made me to be!

  88. the LORD has been challenging me in my daily life & he has been blessing me in ways i can’t simply write about in a few words.

i follow casey :) and am excited to read your blog. we are from Saint Paul, but currently in Cali!!!

    grace & peace.

  89. …i’m really not *obsessed*!

my positive thing for today is that i just got an email that my (1st) GUSSY WRISTLET IS ON ITS WAY! WOOOWHO ;)

  90. my positive thing for today is that i just got an email that my (1st) GUSSY WRISTLET IS ON ITS WAY! WOOOWHO ;)

  91. i’m already a follower of your blog and casey’s blog, i follow you both on twitter AND i’m already a fan of both pages. needless to say, i love you both!

here’s my positive for the week (so far): i just read back through my posts and visually witnessed how much God has done for me and my family in just a few months. we’ve been SO blessed and i’m awed.

i pray that God continues to bless both you & casey!

  92. My favorite moment so far this week has been enjoying weather in the 70’s!!! And getting ready for a trip to Disney World with my surrogate family :)

  93. This weekend is my daughter’s 2nd birthday, so I am really looking forward to that:) It’s helped this week go by just a tad bit faster;)

  94. Something positive from my week (other than reading your blogs)—-I got my basement cleaned out!! Huge success :)

  95. I’ve been traveling with my day job for the last 3 weeks and although I’m glad to finally go home on Saturday, I’ve met some amazing wonderful people on my trips. I’m thankful to have had the opportunity to travel and meet them.

  96. Something positive:
Well, I attend a bi-weekly writers critique group and recently had a confrontation with a male member. Well, he was confrontational, making numerous points to me that my thoughts and opinions were not wanted, nor valid. As the only female in the group, it was hard not to want to call him a chauvinist and a bully. I was very surprised, hurt, and unsure what to say. So I said nothing. I wasn’t sure if that was the right thing, but …
Well, another male member came to me and told me it was good I didn’t say anything, I set a good example for my children. *exhale* Mommy did good!!!

  97. I started my eighth year of teaching and love it just as much today as I did eight years ago! It’s such a joy to use the strengths God has given me and to be a positive influence in the lives of children year after year. :)

  98. my 6 year old daughter came home with a smile on her face this week after being sad the first few days of the new school year because she was seperated from everyone she knows. I am so proud of her!

  99. This week was wonderful because my husband usually travels M-F for work, and this was his off week so he was home every night with me. There is nothing that uplifts my mood more and makes it a more positive week than coming home to him, rather than an empty house.
