While my mom was vising last week I rocked the purple nail polish [+ purple glitter accent nail]. I’m sure it brought back many memories for her of me painting my nails many times a week as a tween. Haha — while she was here I even changed my nail color to red and she reminded me of my Tinkerbell nail dryer I used to have. [Sidenote: kinda wish I still had it ;) ] Nail polish is always a fun way for me to feel girlie. I don’t wear much jewelry // rarely wear high heels, but nail polish and a black coat of mascara does my ruffled heart wonders. Today’s 7 pretty things is inspired by this memory I had with Mama Gus last week.

I too am nail polished obsessed! I love all by OPI–best polish and so long wearing. My recent obsession tho is Deborah Lippman Happy Birthday–just one coat and it’s a subtle party on your nails…lol. Or go for many coats and it’s new years!
my favorite color is anything close to Robin’s Egg Blue. i agree about OPI being the best polish ever, but Revlon has a nice creamy shine and long wear too! how in the heck did you get the ‘newsprint’ on your fingers?

I pretty much never take the time to paint my nails but I love that purple color in this post.
I like to wear an almost black red, but I think it only looks good on short nails….otherwise it’s a bit dracula. :)
I just bought some new nail polish this week. Yellow…which turned out to be not so attractive on my fingers…hot pink, and bright blue. My fingers are currently hot pink and my toes bright blue. I rarely ever paint my fingernails, but my goal is to be better about that this year.
I always feel funny with bright colors on my fingernails so I usually go with a super dark purple or else something really light, I’m weird like that. My toes however are another story, and the brighter the better!

my favorite nail polish ever is “i’m not really a waitress” by OPI. it is the perfect, matches and skin tone, RED and has a little shimmer to it! great for all seasons!! :) i can pick it out of a line up of hundreds on a wall in the salon! :)
I really like pinks, robin’s egg blue, and browns. I love the new color, San tan tonio, in the Texas series right now. Also, everyone needs to try the new OPI axxium gel, it’s AMAZING!
Purple is my favorite color in general, but, oddly enough, I really dislike lavender. What’s even more odd is that I randomly tried “Done Out In Deco” by OPI once, assuming I would hate it and had this epiphany moment where it just felt so “me” on my nails. It’s a lavender with a touch of grey I think, and it is my all time absolute feel-my-prettiest-whenever-I-have-it-on favorite.

My favorite is Virtuous Violet from Nicole by OPI. It’s such a bright, happy purple!
Its spring time so you have to have all the brightest colors… I love Turquoise & Caicos by ESSIE , and on the same page by OPI
