A lot of time is spent in my children’s bedrooms, particularly the nursery which Marigold and Landon share. Since we’re talking about him, when did he turn 6 months old? Wasn’t he just born? Landon is such a happy baby.
I love my children’s bedrooms because they’re filled with their found treasures, favorite craft projects, and a small collection toys. Some of their most played with toys are things that are handmade or personalized and offer imaginative play.
My cousin and his wife are expecting their first child (a girl!) in the new year. For their baby shower gift I made this doll house pillow for the nursery. I really love how it turned out. It’s simple, but has a few fun accents. (I made a pillow just like this for Marigold and it’s one of my favorite things in the nursery.)
On the backside is a little surprise: I embroidered the baby’s name and birth year.
Do you sew? You must make one for the next baby shower you’re invited to. You could make smaller versions and create a little village of houses and cottages. Oh my gosh, the ideas are coming at me fast…
And if you don’t sew, not to worry. I’ll make one for you ;)
Thank you for the wonderful pictures and greeting today Maggie! Especially today as it is my Birthday! (84). Now I shall go back and study those always thought provoking words and my sweet babies faces!
Love to you and to Zack,
