The fall season has been here for a couple of weeks now, although in Michigan we’ve had some beautifully warm days. We are loving it! The kids and I have been able to play outside together a lot more, and yesterday I surprised the kids by walking to the park. We have spent a lot of time in our backyard playing since building the swing set ;)
Landon is almost four months old (what?!) and while I LOVE cooking meals for our family, I don’t always have the brainpower to think through a new recipe. My hands, heart, and home are definitely FULL, so here are twenty fall recipes I’m rotating through this season with a few new ones thrown in.
PS. read all the way through for my favorite apple recipe to simmer in your dutch oven!

What is your favorite meal to serve during the fall months? Have you ever made homemade applesauce? It’s one of our favorites! All you do is peel and core what feels like a bushel of apples ;) add them to your dutch oven crockpot on low and simmer for a couple of hours along with a small cup of water. Sprinkle with cinnamon if you’d like? Once they’re cooked through, smash them up. Serve the applesauce warm or hot, chunky or smooth.
