Our family is three babies blessed, and it’s been such a joy to go through the baby clothes, bedding, and tiny rattles with each pregnancy. Before we were parents, I wasn’t really sure which items would become favorites. Ask me now, and I’ll give you my list — no hesitation! It’s important our baby items to serve me well, I want them to be durable and multi-functional. If something is too complicated or is hard to clean, it’s not a good fit.
One of my favorite phases of pregnancy is going through our saved items, and reminiscing about the babies prior. Talk about sentimental!
It’s interesting, while we were living in Los Angeles, which is where Maxwell and Natalie were born, we were in a very small space (apartment). We didn’t have room for a ton of “extra”, but I also found I used or kept out certain blankets and toys for a little bit longer because they were so useful.
And even now that we have Marigold, and are in a house, my experience is still pretty similar to before. I find myself using a lot of the same things as I did with our first two babies. Find something you love, and you’ll use it forever, right? :) And today I want to share my favorites with you!
MY BABY REGISTRY WISH LIST:
1. PUJ infant tub, 2. whale spout cover, 3. Aden & Anais swaddle blankets, 4. Aden & Anais blanket sleeper, 5. mamaROO infant insert, 6. mamaROO swing, 7. Britax B-Ready stroller (converts to a double)
8. shy fox print, 9. babylit hardcover book, 10. floral onsie, 11. mini excavator toy, 12. citronelle leggings, 13. blue floral romper, 14. rainbow ring stacker, 15. elephant push toy, 16. orange striped romper
+ + +
During the first three months (blissfully known as the fourth trimester), I mostly dress our babies in onsies or rompers. It’s just the easiest, with all of the diaper and outfit changes ;) I also LOVE a snuggly baby outfit, so soft/loose materials are a must. As for blankets, all three of my babies have loved being swaddled, and honestly I find it so much easier to pick up a swaddled baby. Aden & Anais blankets are my favorite as they’re great for nursing and as a stroller/car seat cover, too.
For bath time, the PUJ tub is a family favorite. All three of our babies have bathed in our PUJ tub! It fits perfectly in a bathroom sink and hangs flat to dry, which means it takes up very little space. We used the mamaROO swing with Natalie and Marigold, and my favorite feature is how natural the movements are to how I sway with them. If you’re curious, the infant insert is a must-have for supporting their little bodies.
While living in Los Angeles, I picked up a really healthy habit of going on long daily walks (think 2-4 miles/day). We switched to the Britax B-Ready stroller once Natalie was born because it easily converts to a double stroller. It is amazing, a perfect fit for our active family! Another perfect fit is having brightly colored toys and art prints for our kids. The vibrant colors catch the kids attention, they are easy to spot across the room, and they double as fun decor :)

Great list! A lot of these are my must haves too. If also include a carrier (love the ergos and currently using a moby everyday with our 2 week old). For showers, I love to gift a green toy tug boat bath toy cause they are reasonably priced, fun toy, and can be used to pour water over the kids hair. We got one when my first daughter was born and we stil constantly use it 3 years later.
