^ our sweet boy is going to be 7 months old on Saturday!
…when you crash into bed after a crazy, busy, “my heart is full” day and your feet are able to rest for the first time since the morning. (but who’s keeping track?!)
…when you refresh your toes with new polish, and a little smile sweeps over your face.
^ Bauer, you keep me on my toes. I caught him sneaking into the kitchen when I had beef stew simmering on the stove!
…when you know that the motto, “just try and try again” is the best one, even if it feels like you’re failing over and over and over.
…when you share a meal with a friend and together you pour your souls onto the table, sharing your hurts — but also knowing there’s room for redemption, and you feel so thankful real friendships.
^ Every coffee cup inside our cupboard has been gifted to us by friends. Talk about AMAZING!
…when you gently remind yourself it takes time to turn an apartment into a home. (considering using these for a decor project in my sewing nook. eeek!)
…when you bend down to kiss your sleeping almost-7-month-old’s head and linger because his newly washed hair smells so gooooooood. Ahhh!
…when you decide to get in bed early after a pampering yourself with a lavender face mask & a new nail polish color, because a getting a good night’s sleep is now a gift ;) also? falling asleep after laying in bed for .38 seconds is a W I N.
…when you remind yourself that housework can wait, but spending quality time with your family cannot.
^ Yesterday I dove into the Word and it filled my soul and gave me so much hope
…when a memory of you & your husband pops into your head and a deep, soul-stirring smile fills your face. makes me even more antsy for Zack to come home from work ;)
That moment — these moments — they are so, so gooooood.
Oh gosh they get so big so fast! I am in love with those teacups. I need more tea in my life. I love the feeling after an amazing time in the Word. It REALLY does satisfy the soul :)
@Erin R, …off to read my Jesus Calling devo!
The little ones grow up so quickly. All the tired moments, the giggles and soft caresses, the shared glances. When you lay in bed and the last thoughts are “It is Well With My Soul”, you are truly blessed.
@Diana Foree, so so perfectly said :)
love love all of these sweet moments you shared. <3 God is good and blesses us so much in each and every moment!!
My brave friend Tammy, who showed breast cancer who was boss.
