Over the weekend it was just me, Maxwell and the pup. Zack headed north to visit a college pal, so it was my very first time being home with Max for a solo overnight, and I’m a tiny bit surprised how easy it was. I thought for sure the hours would tick on by sooooo slow, but they didn’t! I had a few things I wanted to do on Saturday, so I broke the day into little activity groups so it seemed more manageable. We played on the floor for hours, took 2 walks, took a nap, and Max had some independent play. I also did some light cleaning and later watched a movie. On Sunday, my only goal was to go to church. And, it happened! Even though Maxwell was awake from 2:30am – 5am Saturday night, we made it to church for their 10:30am service. Just like last week, Max slept in my arms during the sermon. I am totally patting myself on the back! My take away from church is Nehemiah 8:10, the joy of the LORD is my strength — I love that verse! Zack arrived back home mid-afternoon and we were all fighting for the first smooch — of course I won ;)

Last week I snuck away to visit a brand new fabric store in Los Angeles, and you guys… it’s gorgeous. Each bolt of fabric is arranged in colorways, the floors unveil a variety of old tiles and patterns and textures, and they have succulents on their work table. You know I love succulents! It was amazing to run my hands over their gorgeous fabrics, including prints I’ve never seen before. It was so inspiring, and I love the fabrics they let me take home! I’ll be sharing more about my visit soon :)
I hope your weekend was super refreshing! And don’t forget to enter the $1,000 October style giveaway above ;D
