Zack and I are on a little vacay, visiting family and friends and spending LOTS of time outside talking, playing, and probably talking some more {ok, so I’M talking some more, hah!}. Since we’re away, I’ve asked a few of my blogging pals to send over their favorite ways to have fun in the sun. Today’s post is by Casey, and her little list sounds just perfect! And it makes me so excited to have a family of my own ;]
I like to have fun in the summer by spending time outside with all my loves…
SUMMER KISSES
POOL DAYS
PLAYING DRESS UP
YARD FUN
RUNNING IN THE SUN
& WAGON RIDES :)
ABOUT CASEY:
My name is Casey Wiegand, I am a freelance artist, wife and mama.
I love painting and sharing our life through my blog… where you can expect pieces of my perspective on life, faith, kids, marriage, with touches of art, creative inspiration, projects and things I love along the way. I have two little ones in the hopes of lots more and am married to the love of my life!
If you could list your top 5 favorite things to do in the summer, what would they be? Leave us your list below so we can be inspired by you! xoxo
Great post!
My favorite summer things are…
1. Wearing dressed/shorts
2. Coconut snowcones
3. My birthday ha! :)
4. Cookouts with family and friends
5. Iced coffee in the afternoon
Truthfully, summer is hard with little kids because there’s so much stuff to take everywhere!!!! Anyways, I am enjoying summer and trying to devise ways to pare down all the STUFF(!)
5…I love the smell of any banana boat sunscreen {though I use like SPF six zillion on my kids and I…I burn, their wonderfully olive italian skin just gets darker and darker. I keep waiting for it to wash off in the shower lol}
4…Grilling. BBQ chicken especially. Oh so yummy. Let me wipe the drool off my keyboard.
3…I love ice water..to drink, not to swim in.
2…swimming. Pool time. I heart it. Just this week my kiddos have started to put their heads under water and it is so much fun to see them go from scared to confident swimmers
1…late nights. I love them too much. Yes, I do. Unfortunately the kids don’t go down as easily, but I can stay up later creating, crafting, blogging, and reading.
Great post–you’ve got such a cute little family! My top five favorite summer things have got to be farmer’s market visits on saturday mornings, messy summer hair, pool days, how tan my son gets, but how white his tiny booty stays :), and front porch sitting in the evening when it is still just a little bit light outside :)
Such cute photos!! I too love family time in the beautiful summer weather! I love Casey’s blog/style too! :)
