Time for more fashion inspiration thanks to Lindsey! Be sure and click through the blogs that link to her WIWW post each week ~ they are so fun and great for meeting new bloggy friends :]
This outfit is one of my favorites. I heart the purple top and the braid detailing at the neckline. Top is from TJ Maxx, skinny jeans are from Target. Headband is mine, market tote is mine.
Headbands seem to be my favorite accessory. What is your fav. accessory?
Here I am being silly. Seriously ~ looking into my studio brings a huge smile onto my face. Didja know that? [Now you know, *wink*.] Purple/blue ruffle top & skinny jeans are from Target ♥. Green slipper socks were a gift from my mama. Also, the center photo? That’s me pointing to my calender, which is the ONLY way I get so much done each day. It’s from Much Ado About You. Emmy is a dear friend of mine, and she and her hubby recently adopted a baby. Be sure and come back, her fun shop is closed through April.
Ruffles on my shirt? So fun! And the tattoo on my wrist ~ more on that soon.
OK, today’s question: Do you have a tattoo? If not, do you dream of one? [Be honest…]
Yes! I have an ichthys on my right foot. :D
I dont have a tattoo yet! I have always wanted one on my foot :)
Yes! I have a tattoo that has slowly grown over the past 12 yrs…it started with a cross on my foot which was modified several times, grew to include several tiny sparrows and the lyrics to my grandpa’s favorite hymn and now has beautiful pink, blue and minty green swirls to connect them all. I’ve said that eventually i’ll have a “full sock” lol!
Oh no way! The whole idea freaks me out, Ew needles!
You look so cute…always! Purple is a perfect color on you my dear! Yes, i have 4 tattoos, just got a new one a couple weeks ago of a feather and 3 birds, love it and will probably get more! Enjoy your day.
xoxo~Meg
i have a star on my foot and for mothers day I’ll be getting my girls birth flowers on my forearm. Love wrist tattoos! Can’t wait to hear more about yours!
I have several and I’m dreaming up more!
I have four with big plans for another one soon – it will be my first really visible tattoo so I’m taking my time! I love the ruffled top, it’s so cute on you!
I have two. One I would like to forget on my back. He other has special meaning to me. I have 6 boys.. In 2007 I had a little girl. She was stillborn. I have her actual footprint tattooed on the inside of my left ankle.
I don’t have one but I have wanted a ‘J’ for a long time. I keep trying to convince the hubs to get one with me but he always puts it off….one day. ;)
I have 2 tattoos currently and have plans for 3 more! One on my wrist in next!
I don’t have one. During college I went two different times to get one and chickened out every time! lol I’ve let it go.
I don’t have a tatoo, but I’ve often thought of getting a small one somewhere. A couple years ago I really wanted to get a big tree of life on my back, but I never got around to it, and now it doesn’t matter so much to me anymore :)
I have one on my back that I want to add to but don’t have the money to do so yet. :) I’d also like one on my foot or inside wrist! :)
Yes, I have tattoos… most are tiny ones that aren’t too exciting… But I got a big one on my leg last year… 2 swallows holding a banner with my kids names. It’s simple, old school… exactly what I wanted. :)
My hubby has both arms done, his neck and his chest. They’re beautiful. ♥
I have a butterfly with a cross as the body on the soft spot on my left foot between my ankle bone and heel. Sort of hard to describe, but I posted about it here: http://fromthestartofthealphabet.blogspot.com/2010/03/top-2-tuesday-random-things.html (mine is in the middle). I love it :)
I do not have a tattoo, but my wonderful husband has one and it is what attracted me to him initially. He worked as a houseboy in my sorority house and during his first few weeks there I noticed something on the inside of his wrist. He has “Gal. 2:20” tattooed on his wrist and it was a great talking point that got both of us talking about Jesus. We have been married now for almost 2 years and he graduates from Seminary this weekend.
I’m still dreaming…
Yes, I have a tattoo on my ankle of a gecko… not the best choice I ever made…. dreaming of getting one on my foot that is actually meaningful. Maybe someday :)
I have three. Flower on the top of my foot and a pisces symbol surrounded by a horseshoe on my back. I love them all because they symbolize different times in my life. I hope to get one with my boys’ names incorporated eventually. Just not sure where or what.
I do! I have the word “eternal” written in Greek on my back. Actually, I’m getting it finished in a few weeks – the first time around, I could only handle the word. Now, I want more design! :)
yes, tattoos…love’em.
I have a rather large star if david on my lower back and a hibiscus on my left clavical/collarbone. the hibiscus was a gift from my brother who is in the military. he and i went for tattoos together before he was deployed to iraq. he came back, did a tour in afghanistan and is now in London….
I have two tattoos, the first one I got runs along the left side of my body, just a fun design. My other tattoo is of a cat figuring that was my great grandma’s, I have flowers “falling” around the cat that start by my shoulder and it end at the bottom of my back. Reminds me of all those in our family that have passed on, brings a smile to my face when I catch a glimps of it in the mirror. Happy Wednesday to you all! =)
I have a K above my left ankle. It stands for the first letter in my husband’s name which is Keith. Ooh it is so special to me. I am really thinking of getting one in honor of my four-month old son who is also named Keith but we call him Cory. I love this blog!!! So encouraging! Oh and love the hair!!!
I have 5 tattoos so far! I have cherry blossam tree branch on my foot going up to my ankle, I have “Blessed” written on my wrist, I have a line of stars running from my behind my left ear down my hair line, I have a Sun with a blue eye in the center of my back near my neck, and I have a breast cancer pink ribbon on the right side of my neck. There is a few more that I’m saving my money up for!!!
Hi Maggie!! Love your blog! I have a tattoo, and it’s totally UNspecial! I hate it! It was the day after I turned 18, and my big “hoooorah” for being an adult. Blah. Nearly 10 years later I wish I had something with meaning, something that truly speaks to who I am. Alas, someday I will have another and it will be perfect! (Hopefully….)
I love your headbands!!! And I NEED one :) Also, I love your hair every time I see it…makes me want to cut my shorter again! Yes, I have a tatoo….a strawberry on my lower back.
I love your outfit!!! That purple is so pretty!
I do not have a tattoo, but I reallllllly want to get one one day. Perhaps when I dream up the perfect design! :)
I love your outfits–and that they are from Target. I love, love, LOVE Target’s clothing and shoes. Oh, and I have a tattoo…it’s a celtic four leaf clover on my right hip. My grandfather had this amazing knack for finding four-leaf clovers and he’d press them and give them to us “for luck.” (I keep mine in my wallet) When he passed away, my father found an envelope stuffed with four-leaf clovers inside—one for every year he lived after his open heart surgery. So, in his memory my brother and I both got four-leaf clover tattoos. Mine is on my hip and my brother got 4 of them as a cover-up. I like that it always reminds me of my grandfather!
nope, Im not a tattoo girl. I like my skin the way it is:) Love your ruffles and am jealous that you can pull off headbands so well. My hair just wont do it. sigh…… Oh well. Have a great day Gussy girl!
XO,
Sarah
I have 3 tattoos!! A trinity, a mermaid, and a heart with wings…all in different places of course. I want to get a few more to, but tattoos are last on the list of things to purchase!
Nope, no tattoo and really no desire for one…but i have seen some really nice ones, will have to follow and hear more about yours though….
We have the same tattoo! mine is on my ankle. I work at a Oil & Gas Company in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I work with alot of Chiense people and they alway tell me that there should be two symbols (to mean marriage – symbols wife and husband) I respond with my sister has the other one. I gave it to her as a wedding present form being my maid of honour.
Ohhh…I can’t wait to hear about the tattoo! Yes, I have one too. A big smiling sunshine on my lower back. I’d like to get another one, but don’t know where I would place it!
Love, love, love the headband!
I don’t have a tattoo. I wanted one in the past…but now I’m probably too wimpy to get one. I’ve birthed three babies and now avoid pain at all costs!
I have a tatoo on the inside of my left arm. It says “emmanuel” which means ” God is with us” its my “permanent post-it” throughout the day to remind myself to live for Him. I was never a tatoo girl, but I’m glad that I have this one.
ahh, what a question…i have two. i was a teenager, no parents, totally unsupervised, and i wish more than anything i could get rid of both of ’em. maybe one day when we have a couple thousand dollars just laying around….maybe if i had made the decision as an adult it would be different, but for now, i totally regret both decisions!!!
I have the word, communion, on my wrist! For two reasons: “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all.” (2 Cor.13:14), and in the Apostle’s creed, “I believe in. . . the communion of the saints. . . ” It’s my constant reminder. And, it was my 30th birthday present from my BFF!
love that purple top! and yes, i have 4 tattoos.. probably getting more when i have *the itch* again.
I do. I have have “Proverbs 3:5” on my side. It’s in my husband’s hand writing.
Super cute! I love the plaid ruffly shirt. Nope, no tattoo-dreaming here. I change my mind too often (my husband jokes that he’s lucky he’s still here), so I know I would regret it at some point.
Kacey
no tattoo….yet…..I keep thinking about it though!
Your ruffled top is ADORABLE! No tattoos, I passed out having my ears pierced, so hours under a needle – not gonna happen! If I could, though, I’d get a cardinal on my shoulder.
I DO! I have three little christian fish placed in a way that it looks like a trinity symbol on my foot :) LOVE tatoos if the represent something. Mine represents what I believe!
I have a tattoo. I’ve had it since I was 18, I’m 30 now. It’s a purple heart that has daisy’s going around it with flames coming out the top. I soooo badly want to get my son’s hospital foot prints on each of my feet, but I’m a chicken now! Maybe some day I will go for it….but then I wonder what I will do if I have another child???
There is a girl that works at McDonalds here in my town that has the same stars in the same place!!!!! Although her’s is on her right side! I only remember this because everytime I see her there I think how much I like that!
This was to Laura up above ^^^^ I hit the wrong reply button (darn it!)
I really enjoy seeing how you accessorize with your headbands. The colors in them and how you pull a shade out of that to wear it with and it always looks amazing! I actually just bought a top on ebay (for a dollar! how could I pass that up?) so that I’d have more to wear with my Gussy headband. ^_^
I’m already permanently marked by a birthmark so I don’t know how I feel about adding to those permanent markings but… I did at one time consider a tattoo of a heart with the word “redeemed” in the center.
I don’t have tattoos, but I want at least 2. A treble clef on the inside of right wrist, and the Greek word for without fear in the same spot on my left wrist.
Favorite acessory is either my heart necklace I recieved from my dad for my 16 birthday or the heart necklace I recieved form my boyfriend:) I like to wear them together! Also I plan on getting a ladybug on the side of my left foot this summer! SinceI was little my nickname has been “bug” because I crawled really quickly when I was just learning:) Also, ladybugs are lucky! :) I like WWIWW because I always notice that I am wearing all my clothes from one store :) Most often Target or Old Navy;)
I have two tattoos, one on each ankle – on my left ankle I have a cross, it’s actually a smaller version of one my husband has and on my right ankle I have a red heart with my husband’s name in it.
I have one tattoo. On my shoulder blade. I have a cross and butterfly with John 8:32 below. Super symbolic and personal. Blog post on that coming soon ;)
I have 14 tattoos :)
i have 7 as of now. they are all in remembrance of my survivorship and taking back my body after being raped 10 years ago.
as always, you are super cute! love that ruffley bag & headband you made!! <3 EverRubyGirl.blogspot.com
I have 3 tats and totally want to get more. People are totally right when they say tats are addicting!
P.S. What kind of product do you use on your hair? I’m jealous of your curls! I’ve got some natural curl but I’m looking for new product to try.
I have three tattoos! 1 butterfly with my cousins initials (he passed away when he was almost 6 and a few of us girl cousins have similar tattoos) I have the word faith on the inside of my wrist and I just added an image of a mother and a child shaped into a heart on my back rib cage this past summer after I had my Lydia!
I have one very subtle tattoo on my wrist, in white ink. only i know its there unless i point it out to someone. it’s my brother’s name, Avery, (who passed away when I was 9, he was 6) in my handwriting. it’s one of my favorite things!
I adore the headband in your first outfit.
Yes,A sewing needle and thread. You can see a very distorted and blurry view on my bio page.
i have two tattoos.
one on my side/back, a peace sign with wings.
and my new one on my forearm, it says “liebe”, which means love in german. and the L is a yellow ribbon. it’s my favorite.
i’ve been kinda sorta ok maybe a little bit more wanting a tattoo on my wrist… of a verse… but then i freak out about what it will look like when i’m 80…
did that cross your mind at all when you got yours?
I have one tattoo on the inside of my left ankle of a heart with vines and flowers and lots of color. It’s almost 20 years old and the color is still very bright.
I have a tattoo on my right foot of a ladybug (not a really looking ladybug)… gave it to myself for my birthday.
Girl!
I LOVE your ruffles shirt.
As for tats. Don’t have any…yet.
I’ve always dreamed of getting “C’est La Vie” on my back/shoulder.
But I just haven’t found the right place to do it. I’m pretty picky when it comes to who I’m going to let poke me with needles.
So…three things.
1) Will you come to my house and do my hair? Yours is absolutely GORGEOUS! Mine is very long and wavy and I have watched your vlog on how you do your hair, I think mine might be hopeless. ;)
2) My favorite accessory is probably jewelry. Lots and lots of Stella & Dot http://stelladot.com/tahnie
Well, and headbands.
3) I have one tattoo of my sister’s name on the back of my neck. I had it done a few months after she passed.
xoxo.
i have *three* tattoos <3 i love two, and just laugh at the other and chalk it up to being a silly teenager. it makes me "me" and it's where i come from, you know? no need to be ashamed!
now my hubby on the other hand…. covered in tattoos! he's a marine, so does that make tattoos a given?
I have 11 tattoos and counting. It helps that my BF’s dad is a tattoo artist :D
I have two tattoos. One I got on my stomach when I was 18 of a dolphin. After four children it now resembles a hammer head shark. I have a tatoo on my ankle of the Ichthus complete w/ the greek symbols,. most people think it’s from a sorority.
So I’ve thought about getting a tattoo before…but I think I am too picky. It would have to be something that I absolutely loved…otherwise I’m afraid I would get sick of it after two weeks and want it removed. So, as of now, no plans for one. But, maybe someday!
You know how I feel about tattoos! You look adorable as always!
You bet I have a tattoo! I have a flamingo on my left foot! Love it and need a new one!!
I dream of one. I dream of one hard.
I have two tattoos right close together on the inside of my right ankle close to my heel. I wanted one in highschool and told myself I’d wait ten years. One reason was because I didn’t have the perfect thing that was really meaningful and the other reason was because I knew it was permanent and if I could wait 10 years, I’d probably be ok with it for life. I ended us waiting five years, which is still impressive for me. I got the Japanese symbol for “King’s Daughter” and then, a year later after my Grandma passes, I got a hummingbird copied from an original watercolor. My Grandma always had hummingbird feeders around her house. :) I really want another, maybe something in Hebrew, but hubby isn’t so fond of the idea of me getting another.
I have two…right wrist and left forearm. Love them both. And want MORE!! My husband has a sleeve and I think it’s the sexiest thing ever. If, 10 years ago, I told myself that I would have tattoos and be married to a tattoed-man, I wouldn’t have believed it!
I have one very tiny tattoo of a daisy on my big toe. Got it when I was 18 and settled on this discreet little thing after my mother said “just don’t get one on your boobs or butt.” In reality, I am far too conservative and modest to do anything like that, but this little daisy is just perfect for me.
Yep I have what some would call a tramp stamp- I call it my Nola stamp! I got my fleur de lis tatoo on my lower back when I was 26 on my one year anniversary trip to las Vegas with my hubby. It was a year after Katrina hit NOLA and I figured if all the people in the new Orleans could endure the pain and suffering during the storm and after I could endure a little tatoo and it’s my tribute to my city. I love it!
No I don’t have one, but I do think about it. But I am chicken…
cindy
Yes I have five tattoos, that you would know it lol. I have one on each foot a flower & stars, I have on my hip a music note with a staff wrapped around it and my name in it that my hubby drew for me, I have a butterfly design on my shoulder blade that my hubby drew for me, & then I have near my wrist a treble clef with a heart & lady bug at the end of it that my hubby drew for me too. If you can’t tell I’m obsessed with music & my hubby has drawn 3 out of 5 of my tattoos :)
Dont Have one, I would love one {butterfly on my shoulder blade or on my ankle}
the braiding AND the ruffles. i die. too cute, friend! :)
in answer to your question: i don’t have a tattoo (in fact, not many 15 yo do ;) but i’m thinking about getting one. i’ve got awhile to decide, i think… ;)
Three tattoos here! Two frogs on my back and my favorite is a small paw print( for my puppies and kitties) on my left wrist! I absolutely love the paw tattoo!!!….but hated the pain:(
Great outfits. Love your headband and the bag! I don’t have any tattoos. Never wanted any either. Not because I don’t like them, it’s just not for me.
No tattoos (YET!).
And omigosh I am headband-OBSESSED
I love the tunic!
I have two tattoos. The ruby slippers and “There’s no place like home…” on my left wrist and “it goes on” on my right arm.
dang i love your hair :)
i have 7 tattoos, kinda addicting :)
yay for tats! i have just one, and i love it. it’s on the top of my left foot and it’s the korean flag. i got it while in college and i have NEVER regretted it. it’s part of who i am (and in honor of my awesome mother)!
Jamie
I have six tattoos – love them all. The next one I want to get will have something to do with the song “You are my sunshine” (maybe even those exact words) since I sing it to my girls every night, and Leila calls it “the mama song”
I am dying to know about the tattoo on your wrist, and if I had that headband it would be my favorite accessory for SURE! Love it!
Love your plaid ruffle-y shirt! You are adorable, as always. :)
Tattoos? Not a fanfor myself. I’m too chicken to get one…but the sweetheart wants to get my name tattooed on his ring finger after we get married {like, he REALLY wants to}. We’re still debating about that one. I’m mostly afraid that my name will accidently be spelled wrong! ;)
i have 2. my kids names (in their writing) on the inside of my left wrist.
at age 19, i had winnie the pooh tattooed on outside left anke. i later regretted it. a lot.
so, i covered it with the birth month flowers of my 2 kids. it’s beautiful. it hurt like heck and i’ll say i’ll never ever do it again.
love your blog!
i’m a little late catching up on blog posts….but saw this one and had to comment. I’d love for you to read about my wrist tattoo – i wrote about it today :) it’s my #3 of 4 of my tats!
http://www.StudioJewel.blogspot.com
xoxo
Nope; no tattoos. Wouldn’t you just explode if I said “yes, I have 3”????? That would be so funny!
The Bad Girls and I joke every year that we’re getting tattoos during Bad Girl Convention but nothing has ever come of it; well not yet anyway……
I have one tattoo, based on one of my favorite bible passages. (Isaiah 62:3-5) It’s two hands cradling a crown on the small of my back-it reminds me of what my end goal really is beyond all the noise of this world.
Unrelated, I almost bought that same ruffled plaid top at Target!
i have one tat and i want more! i love them. but i only want ones that have lots of meaning behind them. *not very creative* getting there tho :)
i have a question for you Maggs. why don’t you post what you wore each day of the week? why only one or two outfits?
